If you’ve forgotten your OBDSTAR screen unlock password or need to update the firmware, follow these steps to reflash the firmware on your OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3. Note that the G3 uses a different firmware reflash file compared to the X300 DP Plus and other 5-inch tablets.
Files Needed:
- SD Firmware Tool
- G3 Reflash File: “DP800.img” (This file is very large. Please contact customer service at www.cnautotool.com to obtain it.)
Important Warning:
Updating the firmware will delete all settings and software on your device. Users with an expired license cannot re-download the software using the one-click upgrade feature, so ensure you back up your software beforehand.
Steps to Reflash Firmware:
- Prepare a Working SD/TF Card:
- Use the SD Firmware Tool to restore the TF card.
- Insert TF Card into Your Laptop:
- Select IMG Reflash File:
- Choose the “DP800.img” file for the reflash.
- Create Upgradeable TF Card:
- Click to create an upgradeable TF card and wait for the process to complete.
- Insert SD/TF Card into Your Device:
- Once the map creation is done, insert the SD/TF card into your OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3.
- Reboot the device and wait for the reflash process to complete.
By following these steps, you can successfully reflash the firmware on your OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3.
